The mural “Chilliwack's Freshwater Wealth” depicts all 5 species of Pacific salmon in the Chilliwack River, the Hope Slough with a blue heron, muskrat and river otter, Cultus Lake and an aerial scene of the Fraser River with the Cheam Range in the background. I grew up in Chilliwack and it was over 20 years since I painted a mural in my home town!

My salmon artwork has all five wild Pacific salmon species are shown swimming the Chilliwack River (including the Vedder River) in this mural. The foreground shows a Chinook salmon painting, the largest and often most sought fish by fishermen.

A heron painting welcomes viewers into the left side of this Chilliwack, BC wall mural. The heron shown flying is headed for the Great Blue Heron Nature Reserve, a protected wetland environment on the un-dyked floodplain of the Vedder River.

The left side of this wildlife wall mural shows Chilliwack’s Hope Slough/Camp Slough. As this beautiful setting would have attracted master landscape artists like Van Gogh and Monet, I had to paint it in this landscape mural.
