The Chemainus Public Market welcomes pianists to play for the public with this underwater soundscape mural as an inspirational and interactive artwork. This photo reveals the Piano in a Box as part of the front entrance of the market and it's patio.

The bright red sine waves of a humpback whale travel move under the piano keys that guest pianist Wes is playing, past killer whales and onto the rest of the mural. As a Vancouver Island mural artist, my goal was to inspire musicians with whale songs.
