Market Garden: Victoria, BC Interior Mural

The Market Garden in Victoria, BC is a magical, one of a kind original store that must be experienced to be believed. While this “grocery store” does sell groceries, and the highest quality ones at that, visitors explore their way inside to find them. Once discovering your way inside, every direction you look in the Market Garden will entice you to look further, with classy yet subtle interior architecture, décor and product displays from floor to ceiling. You will think you’ve crossed the Harry Potter platform 9 ¾ into Daigon Alley, not walked into a Victoria grocer that isn’t even on a main street.

Into this setting I was privileged with painting a lattice garden themed mural for the new Market Garden Bath & Beauty room. Where murals are normally one painting on one flat wall this artwork canvas was all the curved walls, the skylight walls and even shelves within this small 9 by 12-foot room. This isn’t a mural wall but a mural experience!
