I painted this black bear standing upright in a line based style contrasting the broad curved brush strokes of the background. Part of the “Curves Of” series inspired by the visions of the famous BC painter Emily Carr and influenced by Vincent Van Gogh if he painted with a limited number of large brush strokes.
