The BC Parliamentary Dining Room needed a small wall mural for their new take out coffee shop, the Parliamentary Grab N Go, that gave a fresh imaginative take while being respectful of the institution of the BC provincial parliament. As a result I painted a mural that blended colourful realism with graphic stylized lines and shapes that mixes foreground flowers, the BC Parliament Buildings, and a distant background with swirling movement.
The inspirational artistic style direction for this Vancouver Island mural used swirling movements. I wanted the paint to look like it was cleanly caught by the wind right when it was about to dry and taken for a ride. This windy carry over of paint also applied to the Government House, where the structural lines continue past the building in this Victoria mural.
I am available for freelance. Can't wait for the next exciting project! Could be yours?
